MEET THE ARTIST

Hi, I'm Madonna! I'm a self-taught artist local to the Townsville region. My main inspiration for my art is my experience as a Christian - following themes drawn from bible stories, sermons and my own interactions with the Holy Spirit. I use this inspiration to create realistic portraits with subject matter that inspires the viewer. My go to mediums are coloured pencil, pastel and graphite, but I enjoy experimenting in other mediums also such as oils and charcoal. 
I also thoroughly enjoy drawing animals, especially those with a lot of character and colour! My favourites to draw being wildlife such as big cats. 

It is my goal to grow more as a professional artist, with my eyes set on exhibitions and art competitions, as well as hosting workshops. When I'm not creating art, I'm studying Primary Education, working as a Pre-Service Teacher and volunteering as a Kids Ministry Leader.

I tentatively take art commissions; however, these are available to a limited number of clients - depending on the subject matter and references available!
